"I’ve worked for Maurices since June 2018. The environment is very clean and organized. The culture is very team oriented. Each store employs about 10-12 associates. Work-life balance is pretty average."

"great company to work for though a little turbulent with all the recent changes. They really care about their employees and want to see them succeed. Still need to streamline a lot of business processes which can lead to unclear expectations, a lack of empowerment in the role, and unnecessary rework. Can be high stress at times but leadership is there working with you not watching you work which is a huge plus."

"I have worked for maurices for 2 years after working for 2 other retailers and I would never work anywhere else! The company truly values you as a person and an employee. There is a ton of potential for advancement and they make work fun! I have met and worked with so many amazing people since I started here and I love how it feels like one big family! The training is excellent and most of all I love how customer centered we are and focusing on making people feel beautiful in their bodies. I will never work anywhere else.... I am a lifer!"

What do you like about working at Maurices?
"I enjoyed that I was able to run a store as well as travel as a training manager. As long as you proved that you could do it and had a team that could run without you, they were very flexible regarding my training schedules"
What don't you like about working at Maurices?
"I felt as if I ran out of opportunities. Not much room for growth. I also wanted to work with more people."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would suggest that some district managers need to spend more time with their store mangagers, especially those that are struggling. As a trainer, I would get the opportunity to go to stores and help them out with things and many times I could sense that the store managers did not feel as if they had a great, open relationship with their district managers."
